How we review plans
Most comparison sites review from memory — an editor’s table, updated when someone remembers. RateWorld works differently: the plans you see are pulled live from provider systems for your exact ZIP, every time you search.
Live data, not editorial tables
When you enter a ZIP code, we qualify it in real time against provider ordering systems — the same systems used to actually place an order. The prices, speeds and plan counts you see are the providers’ own current answers for that location, not numbers we typed in last quarter. That’s also why our pages carry no fine-print asterisks next to prices: a live answer doesn’t need one.
What we filter out
Raw provider feeds include entries no shopper should see: $0 placeholder rows, lead-capture stand-ins, and device listings mixed in with service plans. We drop those automatically and show only real, orderable service plans. We don’t hand-pick winners, and we don’t decorate plan listings with star ratings we didn’t collect.
Rankings can’t be bought
Our lists rank on the numbers — price, speed, promo gap — and one rule is enforced in the code itself: every available provider keeps its best-ranked plan on the list. One provider’s aggressive promo can’t push every competitor off the page, and no provider can pay for placement — position is computed from the live data, never sold.
Humans for the last mile
Availability in this industry is street-by-street, and feeds can lag reality. That’s why every plan pairs with a phone line to a licensed sales team that can verify your exact address, check current promotions, and place the order — free, with no obligation.
Where the money comes from
RateWorld is free to use. We’re an authorized reseller and may earn a referral fee when you order through us — you pay the same price as going direct. Compensation never changes the prices you see: those come from the provider feed. The full picture is on our How We Make Money page.
